Q: Why the chipset cannot reset ink level to full?
In the past, we used the chipset which kept the ink level always full, it's a
very good design because you do not need to reset the ink level by using any
kind of hardware (resetter...etc), however, this "Ink-Level Always Full" chipset consumes the inks a lot. Because
whenever the chipset reset itself to full, it starts to do the cleaning - as you
know Epson use "ink" to do the head cleaning, whenever it runs cleaning cycles, it wastes
2-3ml ink. It turns out that customers do not "save ink/money" as much as they expect, besides your wasted ink pad will become full sooner than your expectation.
To prevent the ink wasted in cleaning cycles and save your pad, we re-deisgned our chipset with
different algorithm, and tried to avoid cleaning cycles as many as we can.
In the past, we had customer purchased 600ml inks from us every single month, after
we sent him our newer chipset, he hasnt came to us for about 3 months, and he
sent us an email just few days ago and told us that because of the new chipset,
he doesnt need to buy the ink from us that often as he used to be.
Whenever the red light flashes, you dont even need to reset your
printer nor worry about the red lights, just keep printing and printing.
Actually Ink Level is "useless" to our chipset. Just ignore the ink level
and the red light.
When the screen tells you to replace the empty cartridge, you can
just simply click on "YES", and keep printing.
The only chance you need to restart your printer is when all the ink levels reach 0% together, you can just simply shut down your printer, wait for 10 secs, and turn it on again, all the ink levels will jack up to 100%.
If you still have problem with the chipset or ink level, please contact us for more information.
