Q: R1800, R2400 iInk System Installation
Plugin power cord and turn on Printer


Cartridge house moves to center automatically

Unplug power cord immediately

Install the first Chipset holder






Install the first Chipset holder bar




Install the second Chipset holder


Install the second Chipset holder bar



Plug in power cord

Turn on printer

Printer is trying to recognize chipsets

Make sure all the chipset can be recognized -
you should see the green light. Otherwise, please unplug power cord and re-install chipset holders and bars. (Repeat above steps)

Push the cartridge button

Cartridge Housing moves to this position.

Unplug power cord.

Arrange Dampers and Tubes




Install Ink Stoppers


Hook up tubes with ink bottles




Arrange tubing



Use vacuum pump to suck up ink


Clip Ink Stopper to prevent ink flow during installation. (Need to release these stoppers before printing)

Install damper on top of print head

Suck up ink and install another damper till all dampers are installed



Uninstall Epson cartridge cover and install InkRepublic new cartridge cover

Install NEW bridge bracket (NEW bridge bracket - June 25, 2007)

Install old bridge bracket (old bridge bracket)
For R1800 and R2400 models, please check the tubing details -

Arrange tubing carefully, make sure they will not be jammed.





Install the side bridge bracket


Now, you can unclip all ink stoppers, plug in the power cord and turn on printer.
You can start to do some nozzle checks and one to two clean cycles to get perfect nozzles.
